Using this estimate of the infected population and combining with the deaths per million of ~1000 as at mid January (source), Sweden plots on the death table as shown below and with an estimated average infection fatality ratio between 0.2% and 0.3%. This infection fatality ratio is lower than the CDC 9/10/20 estimate of~0.7%. On balance, the Swedish data is probably closer the reality (see the Sebastian Rushworth post for commentary). I will be publishing some of the data I’ve been looking at on IFR in due course.
